3D Modeling

3D modeling refers to the process of creating a mathematical representation of a 3-dimensional object or shape and is now widely used for a wide range of visualization, simulation, and analysis applications. The most common types of 3D modeling, which can all be generated with Dragonfly, include meshes, graphs, and vector fields. Models can also be used for 3D printing, which is a form of additive manufacturing technology where a three dimensional object is created by laying down or building from successive layers of material.
